Good News In The Midst Of Bad News: Shopee Ensures Warehouse Fire In Tanjung Priok Doesn't Disrupt Goods Delivery
JAKARTA - Head of Public Affairs, Shopee Indonesia, Radynal Nataprawira said that the fire incident at Shopee's warehouse located in Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta did not disrupt the distribution of goods shipments. According to him, the delivery of goods in other warehouses is still running normally.
As is known, on Sunday, September 5 in the morning, Shopee's warehouse caught fire. The cause of the warehouse fire is suspected to be an electrical short circuit.
"There were no problems with the delivery of orders, because the delivery process had been completed the day before the incident. Delivery from other warehouses was still running normally," he told VOI in an official statement, Monday night, September 6.
Regarding the seller's belongings that caught fire in the incident, he said, the items had been insured.
"The seller's burned goods have been insured and Shopee will compensate the affected seller," he said.
But unfortunately, Radynal did not mention the budget that Shopee had prepared to compensate the seller for the loss due to the warehouse fire in Tanjung Priok. This is because Shopee is still identifying.
Furthermore, Radynal appealed to the public or Shopee users who had complaints regarding the incident, to contact the number provided.

In addition, Radynal explained that there were no casualties in the incident. Radynal said that at this time his party was still investigating or looking for other information related to this fire.

Deploy 23 units of fire enginesHead of Operations, North Jakarta and Thousand Islands Fire and Rescue Service Sub-dept. Abdul Wahid said the incident was reported at around 22.56 WIB.
Furthermore, dozens of fire engines with hundreds of personnel were dispatched directly to the location to extinguish the fire as soon as possible, the extinguishing and cooling process was successfully carried out by the officers until Monday morning at 02:20 WIB.
"To extinguish the fire, 23 units of fire engines with a strength of 115 personnel were deployed," he said.
