News Of Yahya Waloni Dying, Police: Not True, The Concerned Is Healthy Walafiat
JAKARTA - Rumors circulated that the suspect in the blasphemy case, Yahya Waloni, had died. However, the National Police denied that Yahya was in good health.
"It's not true," said the Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Public Relations Division, Kombes Ahmad Ramadhan, to reporters, Friday, September 3.
In addition, Yahya Waloni is still undergoing treatment at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital. However, his condition was declared to have improved.
"Currently, the person concerned is in good health, and is currently still in the Police Hospital accompanied by his family," said Ramadhan.
Yahya had to be taken to the Police Hospital, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta. Because, shortly after being arrested his health declined.
With his declining condition, Yahya had to receive medical treatment. Observations related to his health were also carried out to find information about his illness.
Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Argo Yuwono said that based on the results of the medical team's examination, Yahya was known to have a history of heart disease. Moreover, even before being examined, Yahya complained of shortness of breath.
"Heart swelling," said Argo.
Yahya Waloni was arrested at his residence in Permata Housing, Cluster Dragon, Cileungsi, Bogor Regency, West Java, on Thursday, August 26.
The arrest of Yahya was based on the police report (LP) number LP/B/0287/IV/2021/BARESKRIM dated 27 April 2021. In the report, Yahya was considered to have insulted the Bible in his lecture. In fact, Yahya has been named a suspect in the case.
