Persib, Bali United, And Arema Have Set Training Schedules Ahead Of The Continuation Of League 1
JAKARTA - The 2020 League 1 competition will restart in October. A number of clubs have prepared themselves to face continued competition. In fact, there are several teams that have decided when to resume training.
Persib Bandung announced that the training process will begin on July 6. Meanwhile, Persela Lamongan will gather again for training at the latest in August.
Similar steps were taken by Bali United. The club nicknamed Serdadu Tridatu will conduct its first training in August. However, the date has not been confirmed because further communication with management is needed while looking at the current situation in Indonesia.
"All players must be in Bali before the inaugural training takes place in preparation for the competition again,"
Bali United coach, Stefano Cugurra
Another League 1 club, Persiraja Banda Aceh is also planning to start training together in August. All players will be summoned to prepare for the continuation of the League 1 competition which has been temporarily suspended due to COVID-19.
The club management claims that the players are in a fit condition due to independent training. However, it is recognized that the players' stamina has decreased because they have not played for more than three months.
"We hope that at the training camp they can adapt, considering the continuation of the competition is scheduled for October 2020," said General Secretary of Persiraja, Rahmat Djailani.
Meanwhile Arema FC took the same steps as Persib Bandung for their inaugural training in July. If Persib starts on July 6, Arema will practice together again on July 15. The club management ensures that training will be held with strict health protocols.
"Management will coordinate with the team of doctors regarding health protocols from arriving at the time of training. Hopefully this week it can be updated," said Arema Media Officer, Sudarmadji.
