Jokowi's Personal Data Leaks, Spokesperson Fadjroel Asks For Special Steps To Protect Data Immediately

JAKARTA - Spokesperson for President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Fadjroel Rachman, asked that efforts be made to protect personal data immediately.

This was conveyed after the Population Identification Number (NIK) and other personal data belonging to President Jokowi were spread on social media.

"(We, ed) hope that the relevant parties will immediately take special steps to prevent similar incidents", Fadjroel told reporters, Friday, September 3.

"This includes protecting public data", he said.

In addition, he also regretted that the circulation of personal data belonging to the former Governor of DKI Jakarta had occurred.

The scattered NIK Jokowi came from the official website of the General Elections Commission (KPU) on the RI Presidential candidate form for the 2019 General Election.

On the page is displayed full name, NIK, place of birth, date of birth, to various other personal data.
