Signed By Panathinaikos, Goalkeeper Of Indonesian Descent Cyrus Margono: A Dream Comes True

JAKARTA - Goalkeeper of Indonesian descent, Cyrus Margono, has signed a three-year contract with Greek club Panathinaikos.

Cyrus Margono was born in New York and started playing soccer at the age of four. His father is from Indonesia and his mother is from Persia.

Cited from NCSA Sports, the 20-year-old was previously with youth clubs New York Soccer Club and the Met Oval Academy. Then, he received his football education at the Inter Milan academy in 2015.

The certainty of the recruitment of Cyrus Margono by Panathinaikos was known through the club's Instagram account. He was introduced along with the other recruits.

The player also uploaded two photos on Instagram showing the moment of signing his contract at the Greek club.

"I am honored to announce my first professional contract with @fcpanathinaikos. Joining such a historic and special club is a dream come true", wrote Cyrus.

"I want to say a special thank you to my youth clubs: @newyorksoccerclub for starting my journey as a footballer and @metomalacademy for advancing my development and giving me an experience I will never forget", he continued, captioning "the story goes on " as cover.

Cyrus Margono will first play for Panathinaikos B to increase his flight hours and at the same time assess his eligibility to move up the caste.
