MATARAM - The West Nusa Tenggara High Prosecutor's Office is investigating allegations of irregularities in the management of the Bima City COVID-19 budget for 2020.

Spokesperson for the NTB Prosecutor's Office, Dedi Irawan, said the alleged irregularities emerged based on public reports.

"As a follow-up, we are reviewing the report. This stage is currently underway in the field of intelligence," said Dedi in Mataram, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, September 1.

Related to this, Dedi said that the intelligence team conducted a study by starting to collect data and information. Therefore, the agenda of clarifying the relevant parties and going to the field is included in the initial handling series.

"But we will go down there (Bima City) when the PPKM is finished," he said.

In his report, allegations of irregularities arose related to budget inflation in a number of goods expenditure items. There are also reports of alleged cuts in incentives for health workers (nakes). The Bima City Government in 2020 has allocated a budget for handling COVID-19 worth IDR 28 billion. The revolving budget to the Bima City Health Office reached Rp. 8.4 billion.
