Lodging Raids, East Kutai Police Thwart The Circulation Of 4 Kg Of Crystal Methamphetamine
SAMARINDA - The Narcotics Unit of the East Kutai Police, East Kalimantan, thwarted the circulation of 4 kg of methamphetamine, which was suspected to be an inter-provincial network.
East Kutai Police Chief AKBP Welly Djatmoko said the raid was carried out at an inn in Kongbeng District, East Kutai Regency.
"The arrest of the drug lord of this type of methamphetamine was based on the development of information from the community around the location of the incident by personnel from the Narcotics Unit of the East Kutai Police," said Police Chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner Welly Djatmiko, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, August 31.
He explained that the arrest operation was carried out in the morning at around 06.00 WITA.
"From the perpetrator's confession, it is known that the illegal goods, which are estimated to weigh 4 kg, came from Tarakan, North Kalimantan," he said.
Head of the Narcotics Investigation Unit of the East Kutai Police, AKP MP Rachmawan, added that until now his party is still conducting intensive investigations into the perpetrators who have been arrested.
His party also carried out developments to uncover possible inter-provincial drug networks, based on the information of the perpetrators who had been caught.
"Still in development, we will officially release it later, for sure we are working hard at this time to dismantle this disturbing inter-island narcotics syndicate," he said.
