Cadres Netted By KPK OTT In Probolinggo, NasDem: Immediately Apply For Resignation

JAKARTA - Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives from the NasDem faction, Hasan Aminuddin, was also caught in the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) arrest operation (OTT) along with his wife who is also the Regent of Probolinggo, Puput Tantriana Sari, Sunday, August 29, early in the morning.

Responding to the OTT information, the NasDem Party is concerned about the alleged arrest of Hasan, who sits as Deputy House of Representatives Chairman of Commission IV.

"I have only just heard from the media and have not been able to speak directly to the person concerned. We are certainly concerned and believe in the implementation of fair law enforcement by applicable laws", said Secretary-General of the NasDem Party, Johnny G Plate, to reporters on Monday, August 30.

Johnny emphasized that the NasDem Party already has internal regulations regarding its cadres who are involved in legal cases. Namely, resigning from all positions and quitting the NasDem members.

"By still referring to the presumption of innocence which is the right of every citizen, the NasDem Party already has strict and strict standard procedures related to OTT or law enforcement actions against NasDem cadres and politicians who are in trouble. For example, immediately submitting resignations as members and quit all party positions", explained Johnny.

"And the policy is implemented consistently, the cadres know it well", added the Minister of Communication and Information.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Firli Bahuri asked the public to give time to complete their work.

Based on information circulating, the anti-corruption commission arrested the Regent of Probolinggo Puput Tantriana Sari and her husband who is also a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Hasan Aminuddin, in the silent operation.

"Please give us time to work. In due course, the KPK will provide a complete explanation after the collection of information and evidence has been completed", Firli told reporters, Monday, August 30.
