Mayor Of Bandung Ensures PPKM Level 3 In Flower City Is Safely Controlled
JAKARTA - The implementation of Level 3 Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) in the city of Bandung is ensured to run safely and under control. This was confirmed by the Mayor of Bandung Oded M. Danial.
"Thank God PPKM Level three in Bandung is safe and under control," said Oded in Bandung, West Java, Sunday, August 29.
According to him, this can be seen from the trend of the COVID-19 rate in the city of Bandung which continues to decline. The decrease in cases was also followed by a decrease in hospital bed occupancy or BOR (Bed Occupancy Rate).
According to him, on August 28, 2021, active confirmations were 2,021 cases or an increase of 43 cases compared to the previous day. Meanwhile, confirmation of full recovery recorded 37,981 cases and confirmed death of 1,391 cases or an increase of 2 cases.
The rate of increase in confirmed cases, he continued, has fallen since the last 14 days, from an average of 158.7 people per day to 89.5 people per day.
"Currently the risk zone of Bandung City based on the mapping of West Java is in the orange zone or moderate risk," said Oded, as quoted by Antara.
Meanwhile, the occupancy of 30 hospitals in the city of Bandung is less than the WHO standard, which is less than 60 percent. Occupancy of 379 beds (confirmed and suspected) or 23.17 percent of 1,636 beds. Thus, there are still 1,257 beds.
The isolation place for confirmed asymptomatic cases is in one hotel. Total occupancy of 4 rooms out of 75 available rooms (5.3 percent). Thus, said the occupancy rate of BOR decreased.
According to him, all COVID-19 patients who are self-isolating at home are ensured to be monitored by the Puskesmas and the Regional Team (Kecamatan, Kelurahan, RW) as many as 2,991 cases.
Even so, Oded again reminded that the COVID-19 pandemic is not over yet, because it still requires preventive measures to prevent new clusters. "We continue to carry out education and enforcement of the rules so that the public is disciplined in implementing the protocol," he said.
According to Oded, education and law enforcement are still important considering that mobility and community activities are increasing with the gradual relaxation of PPKM activities.
"We must continue to maintain health protocols so that COVID-19 cases continue to decline. So, economic activity can immediately recover optimally," said Oded.
