Minors, Police Release Teenagers For Fighting In Prumpung

JAKARTA - The Head of Jatinegara Police, Kompol Yusuf, said that the perpetrators of the brawl on Jalan DI Panjaitan, Prumpung area, East Jakarta, which had been secured have been returned to their respective parents.

The refund was made after the 10 teenagers were found to be underage. After undergoing data collection and making an agreement not to repeat their actions, they are handed over to their families so that they can be properly trained.

"They are still underage students. They have been returned to their parents, there are still 10 people", said Kompol Yusuf when contacted by VOI, Sunday, August 29.

The police chief added that 10 teenagers were sent back to their families. "On average, those who are detained are still underage. They want to fight around there too. There is no problem, suddenly (want to) make a fuss. Look for problems like that", he said.

The police chief appealed to parents to always look after and supervise their children so that they do not make mistakes in socializing in the environment.

"Parents are advised to always supervise the activities of their children so as not to do activities that violate the law", he said.
