Allegri On Juve's Defeat To Empoli: We Didn't Play As A Team

JAKARTA - Juventus were beaten 0-1 by Empoli in the second week of the Italian Serie A. Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri said the Bianconeri did not play as a team so they lost.

Quoted from the club's official website, Sunday, August 29, Allegri assessed that Juventus stopped playing as a team after conceding a goal by Empoli which started from their first mistake in this match.

"We started well but conceded our first mistake then stopped playing as a team, giving Empoli space and initiative," said Allegri.

"We have to play as a team, not individually. We have to fill the box better but we made a lot of technical mistakes because our game was messed up."

Furthermore, the 54-year-old coach said that at this time he was not satisfied with the result of one point from the two matches that had been lived by Juventus.

Allegri hopes to get a good result in the next match and learn from the two previous unsatisfactory results.

"We have one point from two games and of course we are not happy because a good result helps you to grow but we learned from these two mistakes," explained Allegri.

The defeat that Juventus received from Empoli made them stuck in 13th place while Serie A with 1 point from 2 matches that had been undertaken.

Italy's Serie A will be closed due to the international break next week and it is then scheduled that Juventus will face Napoli at the San Paolo Stadium, Sunday, September 12.
