JAKARTA - Secretary-General of the Gerindra Party DPP Ahmad Muzani said the desire of his party cadres for Prabowo Subianto to run as a presidential candidate in the 2024 election, because he wants to give service to the nation and state.
Muzani said efforts to continue to produce leaders in the legislature and executive who are oriented to the interests of the nation and state will continue to be carried out in Gerindra's political struggle.
"That is why, we all want the Chairman of the Board of Trustees and General Chairperson of Gerindra Prabowo in the 2024 presidential election to run as presidential candidates. Because we want to give greater service in government executive positions for the benefit of the nation and state, namely prosperity justice for all Indonesian people," said Muzani as quoted by Antara, Saturday, August 28.
This was said by Muzani while attending the DPD Coordination Meeting of the Gerindra Bangka Belitung Party. He said Gerindra's achievements in the 2019 elections as the second-largest party nationally were the result of hard work and high dedication from all elements of party cadres and regardless of the support and trust of all Indonesian people.
"This is thanks to the hard work of all Gerindra cadres from the branches, PAC, DPC, DPD, to the DPP including the legislative candidates who have given confidence to the Indonesian people and finally the party is trusted," he said.
Therefore, Muzani asked all Gerindra cadres in the legislature and executive not to disappoint the people's trust.
According to him, wherever the positions and positions of Gerindra cadres are, they are tools to achieve the goals of the people, nation, and state.
"Gerindra General Chair Prabowo Subianto always reminds us that the strength of this party's struggle is the support from the people. Never walk away from, let alone betray the people," said Muzani.

Muzani advised Gerindra cadres to continue to strengthen themselves, from the village or branch level to the central level.
He reminded that the thing that should not be forgotten in today's struggle is to use social media as a means of struggle so that it is hoped that Gerindra will become a political force that is supported by the people.
"In the future, Gerindra will grow because of the support and strong base of its supporters, not because of an image that is wrapped as if it is a reality but is empty," he said.
Muzani said Gerindra did not want to build the image and strength of a party that seemed big but did not get popular support just because of the need for a momentary image.
