Bali Immigration Deports US Caucasians After Freeing From Kerobokan Prison
DENPASAR - Denpasar Immigration, Bali, deported a foreign citizen (WNA) from the United States named Daniel BH because he was previously involved in a criminal case, namely the destruction of goods.
"The person concerned last came to Indonesia around March 2020 through I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport and he was involved in a criminal case in Article 406 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code, namely damaging goods," said Head of the Bali Ministry of Law and Human Rights Regional Office Jamaruli Manihuruk, Saturday, August 28.
He said Daniel BH was an immigratory detainee from the United States who violated Article 75 of Law No. RI. 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration Jo. Article 406 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.
After being involved in a criminal case, he was declared free from the Class II-A Kerobokan Prison on March 9.
In addition, his party also does not have a valid passport and residence permit in Indonesia. So it is subject to Immigration Administrative Action Article 75 of Law no. 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration.
"From the file received at Class II A Kerobokan Prison, the person concerned turned out to have an identity named David Smith, a Canadian citizen. But after an examination at the Denpasar Rudenim, he admitted that his real identity was Daniel BH from the United States," explained Regional Headquarters.

The deportation of the American citizen was carried out on Friday, August 27, 2021, at 13.15 central Indonesia time, to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, escorted by two officers from the Denpasar Immigration Detention Center.
After that, he continued his departure with Turkish Airlines flights TK0057 and TK 3 at 21.05 western Indonesia time with the aim of Jakarta to Istanbul and then New York.
"The person concerned has been proposed to be put on the deterrence list or banned by the Directorate General of Immigration in accordance with Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration," he said.
