Reviewing The Isolation Of Isolated Patients At KM Tidar, TNI Commander: Everyone Must Be Enthusiastic
JAKARTA - TNI Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto praised the readiness of the Tidar Engine Ship (KM) which is currently operating as one of the centralized isolation sites in Jayapura, Papua.
The Commander said that KM Tidar had sufficient health personnel and facilities to treat those who were in close contact, suspected, or asymptomatic COVID-19 patients and mild symptoms in Jayapura.
“How is the room comfortable huh? Are you taking the medicine? Everyone must be enthusiastic and confident that they will be healthy and reunited with their families at home. Follow the rules applied by doctors and health workers (health workers, ed.)," said the TNI Commander to a resident who was undergoing centralized isolation at KM Tidar in an official statement, Friday, August 27.
KM Tidar is one of the ships owned by PT Pelni which is currently anchored at the Jayapura Port. Since mid-August 2021, the ship has been transferred to become a centralized COVID-19 isolation place by the Government together with the TNI and Polri.
There are at least 29 health workers in charge of treating patients at KM Tidar. They consisted of six doctors, 12 nurses, one nutritionist, two pharmacists, four volunteers, and four analysts.
According to Charles, one of the residents of Jayapura who is undergoing centralized isolation at KM Tidar, the service at that place is quite comfortable.
“We are grateful that we have experienced God's goodness through the TNI and the government because we have prepared isolation facilities like now with very good service, and we are improving day by day. Thank you sir for the best service," said Charles to the Commander.
The TNI Commander together with the National Police Chief General Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo, RI Minister of Youth and Sports Zainudin Amali reviewed the readiness of KM Tidar as a centralized isolation place at Jayapura Port, Friday.
The activity at KM Tidar is a series of visits by the Commander of the Indonesian Armed Forces together with the National Police Chief to review the response to COVID-19 and the readiness to organize the XX National Sports Week (PON) in Papua, which is scheduled to take place in October 2021.
In addition to checking the readiness of KM Tidar, the Commander, Chief of Police, and the Minister of Youth and Sports also saw the implementation of mass vaccinations at the Waringin Sports Building, Jayapura, Friday.
"We are here to make vaccination activities successful in Jayapura City, including coordinating and synergizing in the preparation of XX PON to be successful. The TNI and Polri will fully support it," said Hadi Tjahjanto.
The Commander, National Police Chief, and Menpora then continued their journey to one of the XX PON locations, namely Lukas Enembe Stadium Jayapura.
At the last location, the Commander reiterated his support for the implementation of the XX PON in Papua.
