PNS Spoiler Mode Scam Who Raised Rp440 Million Arrested In Tabanan Bali
TABANAN - The Tabanan Police Team, Bali, arrested a man named I Nyoman Beni Pong (46) in Sai Village, Pupuan District, Tabanan Regency, Bali.
This perpetrator was arrested for committing fraud by promising his victim to become a Civil Servant (PNS) in Bali.
"Successfully uncovering cases of fraud and embezzlement by promising 4 victims to become civil servants by paying a sum of money," said Tabanan Police Chief AKBP Ranefli Dian Candra, at the Tabanan Police Headquarters, Bali, Friday, August 27.
This case was revealed from the reports of 4 victims who were deceived by the perpetrators. There was one victim who handed over Rp190 million to the perpetrator so that his son would become a civil servant.
However, a few months later, the victim's child did not become a civil servant. The victim went to the perpetrator to ask for a refund. This also happened to a number of other victims with sums of money from tens to more than Rp. 100 million.
"The modus operandi is by handing over a sum of money to the reported party or the perpetrator promising that the victims can become civil servants. However, until now the victims and their children have not become civil servants," added AKBP Ranefli.
From the victim's report, the police conducted an investigation and arrested the perpetrator on August 19 in Tabanan Bali.
"The results of the data collection of the victims suffered a total loss of Rp. 440,000,000. The reported or perpetrators were taken to the Tabanan Police for further investigation, in disclosing the case the team managed to secure evidence in the form of 6 payment receipts," said AKBP Ranefli.
