Paul Stanley Exposed To COVID-19, KISS Postpones Tour
JAKARTA - The band KISS postponed their concert in Philadelphia after vocalist Paul Stanley was diagnosed with COVID-19. KISS has just continued their United States tour, End Of The Road starting from Burgettstown, Philadelphia on August 26 local time.
Through their statement, KISS is trying to implement health protocols to keep the virus from spreading in the middle of the tour. Unfortunately Stanley caught a virus and caused the band's tour to be postponed.
“Everyone on the tour, both the band and the crew, was fully vaccinated. The band and crew work in their circle to look after everyone at every performance and concert," the band said on Twitter on Friday, August 27.
They also mentioned that the KISS tour series has staff managing COVID health protocols to ensure everyone follows the rules.
Paul Stanley also spoke through his personal account. He said, “I'm fine! I'm not in the ICU! My heart allows me to spin for 26 miles a day on a bicycle!”
Previously, Stanley's band mate Gene Simmons had hoped for a vaccine on their tour.
“I support everyone getting the vaccine. I hope everyone wears a mask at the concert. But we can only control what we can control because every country has different rules," Simmons told Ultimate Classic Rock.
Tonight's #KISS show at The Pavilion at Star Lake in Burgettstown, PA is unfortunately postponed due to Paul Stanley testing positive for COVID.
