Residents Of North Sumatra Mountains Asked To Be Alert, There Is Potential For Heavy Rain
JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) issued a warning to the public to be alert to the potential for moderate to heavy rain in mountainous areas on the western slopes, west coast, and eastern slopes of North Sumatra.
Forecast of BMKG Region I Medan, Budi Prasetyo, said that during the daylight to heavy rain could potentially occur in Mandailing Natal, Central Tapanuli, South Tapanuli, North Tapanuli, Toba, Padang Lawas, North Padang Lawas, and surrounding areas.
In the afternoon and evening, light to heavy rain has the potential to occur in Mandailing Natal, Central Tapanuli, South Tapanuli, North Tapanuli, Humbang Haundutan Toba, Padang Lawas, North Padang Lawas, Labuhan Batu, South Labuhan Batu, Simalungun, Samosir, Karo, Dairi, Pakpak Bharat, Deli Serdang, and surrounding areas.
Early morning light rain in Labuhan Batu, Labuhan Batu Selatan, Labuhan Batu Utara, Asahan, Padang Lawas and surrounding areas.
