7 Times Rejected To Become Indonesian Army, This Meatball Seller's Child's Story Makes Me 'Melt': I Try Hard, Pray, God Willing!
JAKARTA - Effort, hard work, and prayer never betray. With perseverance, what is a dream will definitely come true. This is what happened to Dodi Wardiono, in the ups and downs of wanting to become a soldier in the Army.
The family had time to respond pessimistically to Dodi's dream. Because of the stories circulating in the community, being a soldier must provide a certain amount of money.
Do you know what Dodi did? He doesn't care. Dreams must be achieved! Not once, twice, or thrice. Seven times. Yes, Dodi had to register that much before he was officially accepted as an Army soldier.
Now, Dodi is in charge of the Information Service of the Indonesian Army in the videography section.
"Every time there is an opening I register, up to seven times in total I register. I am desperate and have the intention, I told my parents to let me try it myself, I live it alone enough with prayer, God willing. Alhamdulillah, my parents' prayers have been answered", said Dodi through an official statement from the Indonesian Army, Antara, Wednesday, August 25.

Juminto, the father of Serda Dodi Wardiono who works as a meatball seller, said that from the age of 7 his son had dreamed of becoming a soldier in the Indonesian Army.
However, he admitted that he could not live up to his son's dreams because he heard that becoming a soldier required a very large amount of money.
Meanwhile, Juminto is only a small trader, who initially became a traveling meatball seller using a cart, then only rented a simple house.
"The story about being a soldier costs a lot of money, it's a lie, it doesn't cost money", said Juminto.
