In The Case Of Muhammad Kece, Lebak MUI Asks The Public Not To Be Provoked

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) of Lebak Regency, Banten asked the public not to be provoked by the case of YouTuber Muhammad Kece's statement which was allegedly blasphemed against Islam. "We leave this case entirely to the police for legal action," said Lebak MUI chairman KH Pupu Mahmudin in Lebak, Wednesday, August 25.

He asked the public not to be provoked or provoked by the viral video statement by YouTuber Muhammad Kece. According to him, Muhammad Kece's statement could disrupt religious harmony and create hostility and divide the unity and integrity of the nation.

Muhammad Kece's statement on Youtube has hurt the hearts of Muslims by spreading hatred that accuses the Prophet Muhammad of being surrounded by demons and liars and the yellow book which is used as a study of misleading salafi pesantren and radicalism, he said.

The submission through Muhammad Kece's YouTube channel is of course included in the category of elements of blasphemy against Islam. However, he said, the public, especially Muslims, should not act excessively in response to this. "We entrust this case to the police agency that is authorized to process it legally," said the head of the modern Islamic boarding school Daarussa'adah.

According to the kiyai, they should spread kindness and maintain an attitude of tolerance by respecting and appreciating differences in religion, ethnicity, language, and customs. So far, religious harmony in Indonesia should be appreciated and run well. Because, he said, all religious teachings are commanded to do good and spread brotherhood and love. "Allah SWT created humans on earth with differences, diversity so that they unite and protect each other and there are no divisions," he explained about the YouTuber Muhammad Kece controversy.
