Police Will Take Strict Action On Jockeys And Wild Racing Spectators At Gatsu Kuta North Bali
BADUNG - The Badung Police Traffic Unit, Bali will give strict sanctions to the jockeys and also spectators of illegal racing actions that are often found on Jalan Gatsu Barat to Jalan Kerobokan, North Kuta, Badung, Bali.
"What is certain is that strict action will be taken against illegal racing jockeys if they are caught doing these activities again," said Head of Traffic at the Badung Police, AKP Aan Saputra, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, August 24.
He said that during this PPKM, action will also be taken apart from the jockeys as well as the spectators of illegal racing. He said, these illegal racing players were predominantly teenagers and were good at avoiding officers' raids.
"I will make sure that I will restrain the motorbikes used for illegal racing. If the motorbikes are modified not according to standards and do not have a letter, we will process them firmly," he said.
The shrewdness of these illegal racing players can be seen when they often change locations and are suspected of having informants or spies.
In addition, the circulation of information related to illegal racing raids will be distributed directly to the Whatsapp group. "We once wanted to raid, it turned out that our arrival was known and they immediately dispersed. Someone was watching the arrival of the officers from afar," said Aan.
Patrol activities are also carried out intensively to prevent the massive illegal racing action. He said that patrols were also increased because illegal racing players like to move around and would be dangerous if left unchecked.
Wild racing activities carried out by teenagers in the Denpasar area and its surroundings, especially in the South Denpasar area on Jalan Bypass Ngurah Rai Suwung Kangin Sidakarya with a time span of 01.00 WITA until dawn at 05.00 WITA.
