PT Delta GMS, DKI Provincial Government Receives Dividend Rated Rp52.5 Billion

JAKARTA - PT Delta Djakarta Tbk held a general meeting of shareholders (GMS) today. President Commissioner of PT Delta Sarman Simanjorang said he resigned from his position at the GMS.

Sarman said that he was appointed as Commissioner of PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy. Therefore Sarman decided to release his position from PT Delta from what was supposed to end in 2023.

"I was not able to complete this period of service at PT Delta Djakarta Tbk because I got a new assignment at a BUMN, to be precise as a Commissioner at PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy, one of the subsidiaries of PT Pertamina (Persero) which is engaged in the management of geothermal energy which is processed into energy. electricity," Sarman told reporters, Tuesday, August 24.

Sarman explained, at the AGM, PT Delta decided to distribute a 2020 book cash dividend of IDR 200.16 billion. The DKI Provincial Government owns a Rp26.25 percent stake in PT Delta. Thus, DKI will receive a dividend of IDR 52.5 billion.

"At this year's AGM for the 2021 financial year, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will receive a dividend of 52.5 billion. You can imagine that in our economic condition that is still in a recession, PT Delta Djakarta is still able to deposit such a large dividend into the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government treasury," said Sarman. .

For the 2020 financial year, Sarman reported that Pt Delta's sales of alcoholic beverage products decreased by 33.9 percent. Given that the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in a sharp decline in tourist visits, both domestically and abroad. Then, many restaurants, cafes, and nightlife are closed due to restrictions on mobility.

In 2020, PT Delta experienced a profit decline of almost 61 percent from the 2019 financial year of Rp317 billion. However, in 2020 PT Delta was still able to achieve a profit of Rp123.5 billion.

"With various innovations and sales strategies carried out, the performance of PT Delta Djakarta Tbk continues to grow positively despite experiencing a sharp decline," said Sarman.

Sarman said that his position at PT Delta's President Commissioner will be replaced by Roy Tumpak Pakpahan. Roy Tumpak was previously a member of the commissioner. Then, Roy Tumpak's position as a member of the commissioner was replaced by Samuel Nitisaputra.
