Bali United Vs Persik As Premier League 2021-2022 Opening Match
JAKARTA - The competition operator PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) announced that Bali United versus Persik will be the opening match of the 2021-2022 Liga 1 season on Friday, August 27.
Quoted from Antara from the LIB's official statement, Tuesday, the match will be held at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, Jakarta, starting at 19.00 p.m. local time.
"This match is set to be the first because Bali United is the champion of the 2019 League 1 season, while Persik is a promotion team that holds the title of champion in League 2 in the same season", said the Director of Operations LIB Sudjarno.
Furthermore, the second party of Liga 1 2021-2022 will bring together Persipura and Persita on the following Saturday at the Pakansari Stadium, Bogor, with football starting at 19.00 p.m.
Then, Bhayangkara FC against Persiraja became the third match to be held on Sunday, August 29 at the Indomilk Arena, Tangerang, also starting at 19.00 p.m.
The LIB stated that they had only announced the three premiere schedule of Liga 1 2021-2022 in order to comply with the government's directives regarding the program to handle the COVID-19 pandemic.
"The government will provide an 'assessment' in the first three matches. Health protocols will be strictly applied and the PeduliLindungi application is prepared in all accommodations and match venues. We will obey and comply", said Sudjarno.
The Lampung Regional Police Chief in 2016-2017 also asked for support from the community, especially Indonesian football lovers for the smooth running of the competition.
Sudjarno requested that each party comply with the prescribed health procedures, such as no spectators at the stadium and no group watching or any activities that create crowds.

The Indonesian League 1 season 2021-2022 is scheduled to take place from August 27, 2021, to April 2022.
The competition was held in six series with matches taking place in three clusters in the Java Island region.
However, according to an agreement with the government, the location of the match will be adjusted to the COVID-19 conditions in the region.
After the certainty of Liga 1, PSSI and LIB will roll out Liga 2 which is targeted to start in September 2021.
