PAN: Extension Of PPKM Must Be Based On Objective Evaluation
JAKARTA - The government will announce the continuation of the implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) levels 2-4.
In response, the chairman of the Partai Amanat Nasional (PAN) faction of the House of Representatives, Saleh Partaonan Daulay, hopes that the government will conduct an objective evaluation of the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia if PPKM levels 2-4 are extended.
"Of course we hope that the government will evaluate objectively regarding today's conditions", said Saleh, Monday, August 23.
The member of House of Representatives Commission IX considered that the government must pay attention to all aspects related to the extension of PPKM levels 2-4. First, the rate of people exposed to COVID-19 in the past week. Second, the hospital occupancy rate is there decrease or does it need to be added and so on.
"Third, the current death rate has decreased or not and so on", said Saleh.
The North Sumatra legislator said that for areas with red zone status, PPKM level 4 was required. Meanwhile, for an area with orange or green zone status, the levels would change to 1 and 2.
"How to do that, of course, the government knows. Because the government has the right and has valid data related to the PPKM evaluation", said Saleh.
