Police Chase Three People Related To Finding Bomb-like Objects In Bekasi
BEKASI - Police revealed that a suspicious object wrapped in a black plastic bag in a trash can in Jakasampurna, West Bekasi, was not a bomb.
"It resembles a bomb, but does not contain explosives. The shape is wrapped in a black plastic bag in the shape of a box, but after opening it, several nails were found," explained the Bekasi City Metro Police Chief, Kombes Pol Aloysius Suprijadi to reporters, Monday, August 23.
Suprijadi also said that his party was still taking information from several witnesses in the field, to find out who threw the bomb-like object.
"We are investigating this for the thrower, we are chasing all of them. Currently, witnesses are being collected, we are also investigating so that they can develop. It is known that there were three people who threw one into the trash. But there were two motorbikes, one alone and one rides together, all men," explained Suprijadi.
Previously reported, residents of Jakasampurna, precisely on land owned by Ex PT Alba Raya, Jalan Caman Raya, Jakasampurna Village, West Bekasi District found a suspicious object in a blue trash can.
The object is shaped like an explosive wrapped in black plastic with several wires on the outside. The Gegana bomb disposal team from the Metro Jaya Police has arrived at the scene.
