Residents Of The Suku Anak Dalam At The Muba-Jambi Border Vaccinated Against COVID-19

SEKAYU - Residents of the Anak Dalam Tribe at the border of Musi Banyuasin (Muba), South Sumatra, and Jambi (Muba-Jambi) districts are willing to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

South Sumatra Police Chief Inspector General Eko Indra Heri monitored the implementation of the mass vaccination in Hamlet V Muara Medak accompanied by Deputy Regent of Muba Beni Hernedi.

The Regional Police Chief said that this vaccination touched people in remote areas of Muba Regency, which aimed to break the chain of the spread of COVID-19.

"We have to protect the community from COVID-19, not only people in urban areas but to remote areas," said the South Sumatra Police Chief, quoted by Antara, Friday, August 20.

In this mass vaccination activity, social services were also carried out by distributing rice to the Suku Anak Dalam residents.

This rice assistance can be given because the government also received donations from one of the companies operating in Bayung Lencir District, Muba Regency, namely ADR Group by donating 1 ton of rice.

Deputy Regent of Muba Beni Hernedi thanked the South Sumatra Police Chief who directly monitored the implementation of mass vaccination in Muara Medak Village.

This village is indeed a concern because of the border area between the two provinces, and also frequent forest and land fires.

"Obviously this is a motivation for us to continue to work hard to prevent COVID-19," he said.
