Denpasar COVID-19 Task Force Targets Vaccination Of 1.500 Pregnant Women With Moderna
DENPASAR - The City Government (Pemkot) of Denpasar, Bali, is targeting the vaccination of 1.500 pregnant women. Vaccination is carried out with modern vaccines.
The spokesperson for the Denpasar City COVID-19 Task Force, I Dewa Gede Rai, said there were 1.500 pregnant women registered in Denpasar. Vaccination for pregnant women has been running for two weeks.
"It has started running for two weeks. The target is 1.500", said Dewa Rai, when contacted, Wednesday, August 18.

There are 40 health facilities in Denpasar which are prepared to vaccinate pregnant women. Vaccination is expected to form communal immunity because a number of pregnant women have also been exposed to COVID-19.
"Why do we put (pregnant women) last? because this is in accordance with medical requirements, screening continues and after there is research, this is gradual from the beginning of public service, then the elderly, then children and now pregnant women", said Dewa Rai.
