The Person Behind The 404: Not Found, The Code On Jokowi's Mural

JAKARTA - Telematics expert Roy Suryo gave an explanation regarding the code '404: Not Found.' This code went viral some time ago following a mural of a face similar to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) with this code written on the eye.

This mural was made under the flyover of Jalan Pembangunan I, Batu Ceper, Tangerang, Banten.

According to Roy, this code was discovered by Tim Berners-Lee et al in the 1980s by building the first browser, WorldWideWeb. "He is the most competent person to then make this code," said Roy.

Roy says this code is legendary for characterizing something missing. "If you imagine, for example, this team has an office and then it is used by other agencies. So when the team designed this code, then there was a room that was quite legendary, eventually it was used as 404 as, if something was lost, it was used. So this is the basic code for something that was lost," he said. Roy.
