Golkar Politician Bribery Eni Saragih Sentenced To 3 Years In Prison A Fine Of IDR 250 Million
JAKARTA - Assumed he was proven guilty of bribing a former member of the House of Representatives Commission VII from the Golkar faction, Eni Maulani Saragih, for IDR 5 billion, the owner of PT Borneo Lumbung Energi and Metal Tbk (BLEM) Samin Tan was charged with 3 years in prison plus a fine of IDR 250 million, subsidiary of 6 months in prison.
"Demanding that the panel of judges at the corruption court declare that the defendant Samin Tan is proven legally and convincingly guilty of committing a criminal act of corruption on an ongoing basis.
Sentenced the defendant Samin Tan to 3 years in prison and a fine of IDR 250 million, subsidiary to 6 months in prison", said KPK public prosecutor Ronald F Worotikan, quoting Antara, Monday, August 16.
Sami Tan was prosecuted based on the first indictment of Article 5 paragraph 1 letter a of Law no. 31 of 1999 as amended by Law no. 20 of 2001 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 64 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.

"The aggravating thing is that the defendant's actions do not support the government's program in eradicating corruption, the defendant does not openly admit his actions. The mitigating thing is that the defendant is polite in court, has never been convicted, still has 1 wife and two children dependents", explained the prosecutor.
It is known that Samin Tan has been proven to have given money to Eni Maulani Saragih IDR 5 billion in three stages. First on May 3, 2018 amounting to IDR 1.2 billion, second on May 17 2018 amounting to IDR 2.8 billion, third on June 22 2018 amounting to IDR 1 billion.
The goal is for Eni to help with the termination of the Generation 3 Coal Mining Concession Work Agreement (PKP2B) between PT AKT and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) in Central Kalimantan.
Samin Tan is the "ultimate beneficiary owner" (UBO) of PT BLEM which is a "holding company" with a subsidiary PT Asmin Koalindo Tuhup (AKT) which is engaged in coal mining with mines in Murung Raya Regency, Central Kalimantan and PT Borneo Mining Services (BMS) which is engaged in the rental of heavy equipment in Murung Raya Regency, Central Kalimantan.
