Revealing The Role Of Juliari Batubara, 2 Ex-Ministry Of Social Affairs Officials Called KPK Prosecutors Eligible To Become Justice Collaborators

JAKARTA - The Public Prosecutor (JPU) asked the panel of judges to grant the justice collaborator application submitted by Adi Wahyono, a defendant in the alleged corruption case of COVID-19 social assistance (bansos) at the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos).

Support from the prosecutor because Adi Wahyono was very helpful in revealing several facts in the case. One of them, revealed Juliari Batubara's order to withdraw the social assistance fee.

"The defendant has given testimony as a witness for the defendants Harry van Sidabukke, Ardian Iskandar, Matheus Joko Santoso and Juliari Batubara, where the defendant's testimony was significant in revealing that there was a bigger role, namely Juliari Batubara as Juliari Batubara who gave the order," said the prosecutor at the trial in Corruption Court, Jakarta, Friday, August 13.

Then, the prosecutor also assessed that Adi Wahyono was not the main actor in the alleged corruption case. He is just an extension of Juliari Batubara.

"The defendant is the Acting Director of PSKBS of the Ministry of Social Affairs as well as the Budget User for the procurement of the COVID-19 basic food assistance who received an order from Juliari Batubara as the Minister of Social Affairs to collect a fee of Rp. receiving money from social assistance providers, so Adi Wahyono's capacity is not the main actor because of Juliari's representation in realizing the order to collect the money," said the prosecutor.

Then, Adi Wahyono is also considered consistent in providing information. Where, he confessed all his actions. In addition, the prosecutor is also considering Adi Wahyono who has returned the money he enjoyed from corruption to the KPK.

"The defendant has returned the money he enjoyed worth Rp208,400,000," said the prosecutor.

With these reasons, the prosecutor assessed that Adi Wahyono had met the criteria. So, it should be given the status of justice collaborator.

"The justice collaborator status can be given to Adi Wahyono because he has met the criteria," said the prosecutor.

Previously, the application for justice collaborator submitted by Matheus Joko Santoso was also supported by the prosecutor. Because Matheus is not the main actor and has helped dismantle the role of Juliari Batubara.
