X-ray Results Of MUI Chairman Miftachul Akhyar Normal, Slightly Njarem, Allowed To Surabaya

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) Miftachul Akhyar is reported to have had an accident on the Salatiga Toll Road, Central Java this morning, Thursday, August 12.

The car that Kiai Miftachul Akhyar was traveling in had an accident while walking from Jakarta to Surabaya. The accident occurred on the Semarang Toll Road to the Salatiga Toll Road at 05.30 WIB.

This information circulated in a number of WA groups accompanied by photos of a wrecked car and someone lying in a hospital bed.

MUI Secretary General Amirsyah Tambunan confirmed that Kiai Miftachul Akhyar is now in good health and undergoing treatment at the hospital.

"Alhamdulillah, Kiai Miftach and his companions are in good health and have received medical treatment at the Salatiga Hospital. According to those who have visited him, he is healthy and able to communicate well," said Amirsyah, Thursday, August 12.

Amirsyah also invited all parties, especially Muslims, to continue praying for Kiai Miftach's health. "We pray that Kiyai Miftah and his family are protected by Allah, so that they are healthy and well," said the chairman of PP Muhammadiyah.

Separately, the Personal Secretary of Kiai Miftach, Nur Hidayat said, Kiai Miftach was not seriously injured. An X-ray of the Salatiga Hospital stated that Kiai Miftach had been allowed to go home.

"Alhamdulillah, at 10:20 a.m. Kiai Miftach was allowed to continue his journey to Surabaya," said Nur Hidayat as reported by MUI.or.id.

Contacted separately, one of the Chairmen of the Central Java MUI who is the Chancellor of UIN Walisongo Semarang, Prof. Imam Taufiq, said that Kiai Miftach and his entourage had undergone X-rays and were declared to have no significant problems. Kiai Miftach's condition is fine, although some parts of his body are still achy.

"Kiai Miftachul Akhyar is in good condition. From a medical point of view, an analysis is being carried out because some parts of the body are painful. In general, it is normal and the doctor says there are no problems. He can also raise both hands and there are no problems," he said.
