The Cause Of MUI General Chair Miftachul Akhyar's Car Collisions With A Truck On The Semarang-Solo Toll Road

JAKARTA - The car carrying the General Chair of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) KH Miftachul Akhyar was reported to have had an accident on the Semarang-Solo toll road, Central Java, Thursday, at around 06.15 WIB.

The Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Police, Kombes Iqbal Alqudusy, confirmed the accident at KM 462 of the Semarang-Solo toll road, in Beji Village, Suruh District, Semarang Regency.

He explained that the incident began when the Toyota Vellfire with license plate number S 1447 NT which the victim was traveling in drove from Semarang to Solo.

From the same direction, he continued, a truck whose identity has not been identified gave a light signal with the intention of overtaking.

"Cars traveling in the right lane then move to the left to make way," said Iqbal, as quoted by Antara, Thursday, August 12.

However, he said, the box truck that preceded it then shifted to the left lane and then braked suddenly.

As a result, the Toyota Vellfire hit the back of the truck because it was too close and could not dodge.

The unidentified truck itself then fled after the incident, he said.

"Two Toyota Vellfire passengers were injured in the incident and rushed to Salatiga Hospital," he said.

According to him, from the doctor's statement it was known that there were no serious injuries suffered by KH Miftachul Akhyar.

"It has been X-rayed and found no fractures," he said.

The accident itself is currently being handled by the Semarang Police Satlantas.
