Official! President Jokowi Gives Honorary Degrees To Artidjo Alkostar To Healthcare Workers
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has bestowed honorary degrees on former Chairman of the Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia for the 2009-2018 period, Artidjo Alkostar and a number of other figures, including cultural figures.
In addition, honorary marks were also given to hundreds of health workers such as doctors and nurses who died while struggling to help patients in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
This honorary awarding ceremony was held at the State Palace on August 12 at 09.00 WIB. The award is based on Presidential Decree No. 76, 77, 78/TK 2021 concerning the awarding of the Mahaputera Star, the Parama Dharma Cultural Star, and the Jasa Bintang.
The awarding of this title is done as an award for services and has met special requirements in the context of giving it.
"The late Dr. Artidjo Alkostar, Chairman of the Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia 2009-2018 and the late I Gede Ardika the Minister of Culture and Tourism for the period 2000-2004. Each of them was awarded the Mahaputra Adipradana star honor," said Presidential Military Secretary Marsda Tonny Harjono when reading the decision.
There are 355 figures who were awarded the honors of which 325 are health workers. Here are the full names of the recipients of the title from President Jokowi:
- The late Artidjo Alkostar was awarded the Mahaputera Adipradana Star- The late I Gede Ardika was awarded the Mahaputera Adipradana Star- Antonius Sudjata was awarded the Mahaputera Utama Star- Maradaman Harahap was awarded the Mahaputera Nararya Star- Jacobus Busono was awarded the Mahaputera Nararya Star- The late Raden Tumenggung Kusumo Kesowo was awarded the Parama Culture Star The late Rusdi Sufi was awarded the Main Service Star - Goldammer Johan George Andreas was awarded the Main Service Star - Ishadi SK was awarded the Main Service Star - Erico Guterres was awarded the Main Service Star - The late Adnan Ibrahim and Nadiah were awarded the Primary Service Star representing 256 health workers who died in handling COVID -19- The late Soehendro representing 66 health workers who died in handling COVID-19 was awarded the Nararya Service Star
