General Andika: Take Care Of Yourself, Don't Disappoint The Honor Of The Indonesian Army

JAKARTA - Army Chief of Staff (Kasad) General TNI Andika Perkasa asked graduates of the 2021 FY 2021 Officers Formation Education (Diktukpa) graduates not to disappoint the honor given by the Army (AD).

"Take care of yourself, have fun serving in your new place and don't be disappointed with the happiness and honor that the Army and your family give to all your fellow young officers," Kasad said through the TNI AD YouTube channel which was monitored in Jakarta, reported by Antara, Monday, 9 August.

These directions and messages were conveyed by Kasad together with the General Chairperson of Persit Kartika Chandra Kirana Hetty Andika Perkasa while attending the Army Officer Candidate School in Bandung, West Java, to attend the 2021 Army Diktukpa Prasetya Perwira ceremony.

After the ceremony, General TNI Andika Perkasa provided briefing and interacted directly with 1,224 young officers who attended the Prasetya Perwira Ceremony.

After carrying out the ceremony, Kasad gave the Diktukpa Graduate Officers the opportunity to meet their respective family members.

One of the young officers from the TNI AD Finance Directorate Unit, Lt. Cku Anisa, was finally able to meet and miss his two children after undergoing education. Even though she had lost her husband to death, she admitted that she remained strong until she achieved the rank of Lieutenant.

"I happen to be a single parent, it's been more or less five years since our husband has passed away," said the Kowad Soldier.

He told me that while undergoing education his two children were entrusted to their parents. However, one day both of his parents were sick and his children were handed over to his parents-in-law. It didn't stop there, the father-in-law of the Kowad soldier was exposed to COVID-19.

"Finally, my children were cared for and cared for by my sister-in-law," he said. Lt. Cku Anisa had gone through a tough struggle in studying at Secapa AD. A strong woman figure who can harmonize her role as a mother and heroine who serves the nation and state.

The moment of emotion was also felt by another Kowad soldier, Lt. Norsina Mesah, who had undergone isolation due to exposure to COVID-19. Even though he couldn't meet his family in person, virtual meetings could cure his longing.

"Hello son, thank you for your prayers. Seven months of education have been completed, even though for seven months we have never met because I suffer from COVID-19," he said.

On that occasion, Kasad paid attention to the 30 young officers who were overweight. After being scouted by Commander Secapa, now only 14 soldiers out of 126 are underweight.

One of the First Officers who graduated from Diktukpa Lt. Arm, Roberta F. Ernanda, said that before being trained, his weight reached 95 kilograms and managed to drop to 78 kilograms.

"One of the causes of our obesity or weight increased drastically due to irregular eating patterns," he said.
