BTN Gets Additional Quota For 18,500 FLPP KPR, Management: Thanks To The Ministry Of PUPR

JAKARTA - PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BTN) received an additional quota of subsidized housing loans (KPR) with the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP) scheme of 18,500 units in the third quarter of 2021 from the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR).

Director of Consumer and Commercial Lending Bank BTN Hirwandi Gafar said with this addition, the total quota of FLPP mortgages that Bank BTN obtained from the government was 104,562 units.

"Alhamdulillah, we are very grateful to the Ministry of PUPR for providing an additional quota in the third quarter of 2021 as many as 18,500 units. We really need this additional quota in the midst of a fairly high demand for subsidized housing financing," Hirwandi said in a statement in Jakarta, quoted by Antara. , Monday 9 August.

According to Hirwandi, the issuer codenamed BBTN will optimize the additional quota for subsidized housing financing for low-income people (MBR). For this reason, all levels of management and employees of Bank BTN throughout Indonesia are asked to work hard to make the distribution of FLPP mortgages successful for MBR.

He also appreciated the government's trust to continue to support the property sector by increasing the quota for Bank BTN's FLPP mortgages. The addition of the quota is believed to be able to accelerate economic recovery in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hirwandi said that from the additional quota of 18,500 units, 3,500 units would be allocated for BTN Syariah.

Until the end of July 2021, Bank BTN has distributed 76,381 FLPP KPR units. Of this amount, BTN Syariah managed to distribute 14,202 units of FLPP financing. Meanwhile, until the end of 2021, the potential for subsidized mortgage distribution could reach 64,654 units.

"We hope that in the fourth quarter of 2021 the government will add another 36,500 FLPP mortgage quotas. This is in accordance with the demand and potential for FLPP mortgage distribution which is still quite high until the end of this year," said Hirwandi.

He assessed that KPR FLPP plays an important role in the success of the One Million Houses Program initiated by the government of President Joko Widodo.

"We will continue to innovate, synergize, and make improvements and efficiency in the process of distributing FLPP mortgages," said Hirwandi.

Hirwandi admitted that the company continues to optimize several digital innovations in terms of business processes so that banking services provided to customers can be more effective and efficient.

Moreover, during this pandemic, technology involvement is very important to help implement health protocols, especially to improve customer service.

Bank BTN, he continued, provides convenience in applying for home ownership loans (KPR) through its platform, namely the BTN Properti portal. Through the portal, people can see the house to be purchased whenever and wherever they are. People can access it via smart phones to see the house to be purchased, making it easier for the community without having to come to the housing location.

"For example, if you want to buy a house in Serpong in housing X, housing X can be seen on the btnproperti.co.id platform. People can see prices, specifications, the area of the house to be able to see the house in 4 dimensions on the platform," said Hirwandi.

Until the first semester of 2021, Bank BTN recorded growth in lending and financing of 5.59 percent year-on-year (yoy) from Rp. 251.83 trillion to Rp. 265.9 trillion.

This growth was recorded to be far above the average of the national banking industry. Data from Bank Indonesia records that credit growth for the national banking industry only grew by 0.45 percent (yoy) as of June 2021.

Subsidized KPR is still the main motor driving Bank BTN's credit distribution with an increase of 11.17 percent (yoy) to Rp. 126.29 trillion in the first semester of 2021.

Non-subsidized mortgages also grew slowly at the level of 0.9 percent (yoy) to Rp80.59 trillion. Non-residential consumer loans also recorded an increase at the level of 17.47 percent (yoy) to Rp5.43 trillion as of June 2021.
