Police Must Be Careful With Hacking Its Website Database
JAKARTA - Circulating on social media, someone has successfully hacked all of the police personnel's data. In fact, these hackers make it possible to change the database contents of every member of the National Police.
Head of Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Argo Yuwono, denied any information that the Indonesian police website server containing the data of all members was compromised by hackers or hackers. Because so far the server condition is still under the control of the Police.
"Nothing," said Argo in his short message and confirmed the hacking issue, Tuesday, June 16.
Hello @DivHumas_Polri, it's time to clean up. Someone claims to have succeeded in breaking into the data of all members of the National Police. This person can then easily access, search and replace the data of the Police member. For example, just the transfer to Densus 88, the data has been leaked :( pic.twitter.com/kzksz2iOhD

Even though it has issued a rebuttal, the National Police Headquarters actually has to check the server condition again. Because according to the investigation by Teguh Aprianto, who is also a cybersecurity researcher, the National Police's website has been hacked quite often.
"The National Police itself has never been compromised? Often. Based on http://zone-h.org the assets belonging to the National Police (main domain and sub-domain) have been breached 259 times," Teguh wrote in his Twitter tweet.
Teguh even explained that the appearance of the National Police website was illegally changed in 2015. At that time, hackers used the hashtag #SaveKPK to replace the front page of the Polri.go.id site.
In addition, Teguh said that hackers sell access to applications that can replace the data for 1,200 US dollars or the equivalent of Rp. 17 million. Meanwhile, bug information in the application is sold for 2,000 US dollars, or around Rp.28.5 million.
This tweet has also been commented on by more than 300 netizens, and has been retweeted by 1,409 accounts. In the thread it was stated that the hackers also showed one of the police personnel data that was successfully hacked and changed.
