Exceeding Jokowi's Target, Deputy Governor Riza Optimistic Of COVID Vaccination In DKI Jakarta Will Be Completed In A Few Weeks
JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria admitted that his party is targeting the completion of the COVID-19 vaccination in the capital within the next few weeks.
"DKI Jakarta in the next few weeks we will complete the target of 8.815.157, the total target for vaccination in DKI Jakarta", said Riza in the North Jakarta area, Thursday, August 5.
Currently, it is recorded that DKI has vaccinated the first dose to 7.918.732 people and the second dose to 2.984.244 people. The implementation of this vaccination is faster than President Joko Widodo's target.
It is known that Jokowi previously targeted that DKI had to vaccinate 7.5 million people by the end of August. Then, this target was achieved since August 1 last.

"This is thanks to the support of all parties who have been helping, the National Armed Force (TNI), the National Police (Polri), friends from mass organizations, communities, private sector, universities, schools, and including the Central Executive Board of Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (DPP HIPMI)", said Riza.
"Hopefully, this collaboration can produce good results, the implementation of the vaccine can reach 100 percent faster than the target", he continued.
On that occasion, Riza also said that the bed occupancy ratio (BOR) was decreasing. Currently, the BOR in the isolation room of the COVID-19 referral hospital is 49 percent and the ICU room is 73 percent.
As of today, DKI has added 2.311 new cases with a total of 825.657 cases since the beginning of the pandemic. Then, the cure rate for positive confirmed cases is 96.7 percent and the death rate is 1.5 percent.
