Vaccine Failed Due To NIK Used By Foreigners, Zudan Arif Fakrulloh: The Referee Has Been Vaccinated

JAKARTA - The Director-General of Department of Population and Civil Registration (Dukcapil) of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Zudan Arif Fakrulloh, said that Referee Ridwan had received the COVID-19 vaccination.

Whereas previously, the Bekasi resident failed to be vaccinated because his Population Identification Number (NIK) had been used first by foreign citizens (WNA) to get vaccines in Jakarta.

Zudan said that with the referee's vaccination, the problem was solved. Moreover, when checked in the Directorate General of Dukcapil data, the Referee's NIK is correct.

"Yesterday the case was finished. The data has been checked at the Dukcapil, the referee's data is correct. The person concerned was vaccinated yesterday", Zudan told reporters, Wednesday, August 4.

He said the Ministry of Health would later trace indications of misuse of the NIK at the vaccine site. Meanwhile, the Directorate General of the Ministry of Home Affairs has discussed this to prevent similar incidents from happening again.

From the results of discussions with the Ministry of Health, Kemenkominfo, BPJS Kesehatan, and Telkom they agreed that vaccine data must be sourced from the NIK. Later, the Directorate General of the Department of Population and Civil Registration of the Ministry of Home Affairs together with Pcare BPJS Kesehatan, Care to Protect Ministry of Communication and Informatics, and the Ministry of Health will sign a cooperation agreement to integrate data.

For information, a Bekasi resident cannot receive the COVID-19 vaccine because his NIK has already been used by foreigners. Referee Ridwan is a resident of Vila Mutiara Cikarang Housing, Ciantra Village, South Cikarang District, Bekasi Regency.

He only found out that his NIK had been used by foreigners when he participated in a mass vaccination near his residence on Thursday, July 29. At that time, the referee failed to be vaccinated for administrative reasons.

In fact, he had passed the health screening before receiving the vaccine. So, the referee had to go home without getting a COVID-19 vaccination because the officer refused him.
