PALANGKA RAYA - A fire scorched 30 houses made of wood in the Tumbang Rungan Village, Palangka Raya City, Central Kalimantan.
Head of the Palangka Raya City Fire and Rescue Service, Central Kalimantan Province, Gloriana, confirmed that the fire had scorched 30 houses, affecting 39 families consisting of 141 people.
Two fire fighting teams equipped with two fire engines with a capacity of 5,000 and 6,000 liters along with several elements of the community have succeeded in extinguishing the fire.
"There were no casualties in the incident. The value of the loss and the cause of the fire is still under investigation by officers", she said, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, August 3.
The location of the fire which is quite far from the headquarters of the Fire and Rescue Service and the access road that is not too wide is a separate obstacle for officers to get to the location.
