Sinar Mas Land, A Property Company Owned By Conglomerate Eka Tjipta Widjaja Has Vaccinated 54,227 People

JAKARTA - Sinar Mas Land recorded as many as 54,227 people in Jakarta, Depok, Cikarang, Karawang, South Tangerang, Tangerang, and Batam regencies have participated in the COVID-19 vaccination activity held with the Regional Government through the Local Health Office.

Managing Director of the President Office of Sinar Mas Land, Dhony Rahajoe, said that Sinar Mas Land is excited to continue to assist the government in fighting COVID-19 so that the wheels of the economy and social life will soon return to normal.

"Hopefully our participation can help the government's efforts in preventing the spread of COVID-19, can be felt by affected residents and can help encourage national economic recovery", said Dhony, in his statement, quoted from Antara, Monday 2 August.

Sinar Mas Land continues to support the government's efforts to fight with the community in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. Various aids have been provided by the company belonging to the late conglomerate Eka Tjipta Widjaja since April 2020, starting from basic ingredients for people affected by the pandemic to the distribution of boxed rice, masks, hand sanitizers, disinfectants, medicines, vitamins, COVID-19 virus detection kits, equipment medical personnel, face shields and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for medical and security personnel as the front line.

While this assistance continues, this year Sinar Mas Land has begun to focus on helping the government to build herd immunity through accelerating vaccines.

Therefore, Sinar Mas Land is actively collaborating with the Health Offices in Jakarta, Depok, Cikarang, Karawang, South Tangerang, Tangerang, and Batam Regencies to organize vaccine centers.

"Since the first vaccine center was carried out in March 2021 until now, Sinar Mas Land and the Health Service have vaccinated 54,227 people", he said.

Vaccine centers for economic actors are held at the ITC Mangga Dua vaccine center (Jakarta), BSD Junction (South Tangerang), Q-Big (Tangerang Regency), and ITC Depok (Depok).

Vaccine centers are also implemented for the industrial sector at other Sinar Mas Land project locations such as Nuvasa Bay Batam, Greenland International Industrial Center (GIIC) in Kota Deltamas Cikarang, as well as a joint project between Sinar Mas Land and Itochu Corporation Japan, namely Karawang International Industrial City (KIIC).

Sinar Mas Land vaccine center support is also directed to public service officers and priority vaccine recipient communities such as the elderly and teachers. In the month of Ramadan this year, Sinar Mas Land through the Sinar Mas Land Muslim Foundation held a vaccine center at Al-Azhar School BSD City for mosque Takmir so that they can serve Muslims to worship in the holy month by following health protocols.

Sinar Mas Land, through the Q-Big shopping center and its tenants, also hosts several vaccine centers for thousands of the general public from 12 years old to the elderly.

"Still in BSD City, the Atmajaya Catholic University Campus also opened a vaccine center for thousands of students, educators, and the general public", he said.

Hendra Tarmizi MARS said that the Tangerang District Health Office appreciated Sinar Mas Land's steps to periodically open vaccine centers according to priority targets from the government, ranging from the elderly, public service workers to the general public, especially at this time where a spike in Covid-19 cases occurred. "Hopefully this program can serve the community optimally for our health together", he said.
