COVID-19 Update As Of July 30: New Cases 41,168, Deaths Increase By 1,759

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 252,184 specimens resulted in 41,168 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 3,372,374 people and 549,343 active cases," said Ministry of Health data, Friday, July 30.

Today's recovered cases increased by 44,550 cases, bringing the total to 2,730,720 recovered people. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 1,759 people and a total of 92,311 people.

The province with the most new cases was in West Java with 6,912 cases and a total of 604,823 cases. Followed by East Java which has 5,210 new cases with a total of 303,735 cases. Central Java has 4,502 new cases and a total of 376,991 cases. Then, DKI Jakarta has 3,454 new cases and a total of 811,326 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 11,151 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an increase of 7,437 recovered cases, Central Java with an additional 5,621 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 4,965 recovered cases.

No province has reported no new cases as of today. In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 26,038,438.

"Positive results per number of specimens examined or this week's positivity rate of 35.60 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 278,546 people. Currently, 510 districts/cities from 34 provinces have COVID-19 cases.

To date, 46,805,993 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 20,146,421 people have received the second dose of vaccination. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
