Indonesia's Schedule At The Tokyo Olympics Today, Friday, July 30

JAKARTA - Indonesian men's doubles Hendra Setiawan/Mohammad Ahsan will continue their struggle to secure a place in the Tokyo Olympics final today, while new athletic athletes will begin their journey in the quadrennial sporting event.

Cited from Antara, Thursday, wildcard-winning sprinter Alvin Tehupeiory will start Indonesia's struggle today in the women's 100 meters at the Olympic Stadium, Tokyo.

Alvin will start the preliminary round by being on track seven Heat 3 which is scheduled at 07:14 a.m. Indonesian Western Time (WIB). Based on the list of participants released, Alvin is the only Asian sprinter out of a total of nine names who are members of Heat 3.

The runner from Maluku had to finish in the top 3 to secure a ticket to the next round.

In badminton, Taiwanese pair Lee Yang/Wang Chi-Lin are waiting for Hendra/Ahsan to compete for a place in the Tokyo Olympics final.

The world number two men's doubles lead 6-4 in the meeting record with Lee/Wang. However, The Daddies should be wary of Lee/Wang who defeated him in the BWF World Tour Finals 2020 final last January.

Lee/Wang are also in their best form after winning three consecutive titles at the Asian Leg tournament last January.

After stopping in the preliminary round in the men's 400 m freestyle, Aflah Fadlan Prawira will again compete, but this time in the men's 1.500 m freestyle.

Joined in Heat 1, Aflah will compete with four other swimmers, namely swimmers from Monaco Theo Druenne, Marcelo Acosta (El Salvador), Daniel Wiffen (Ireland), and Marwan Aly Elkamash (Egypt).

Aflah's record in Heat 1 must be in the top eight of the best of the four heats contested if he wants to qualify for the final.
