Eko Yuli Irawan And Windy Cantika Return To Indonesia Tonight
JAKARTA - Lifters Eko Yuli Irawan, Windy Cantika Aisah, and five other athletes returned to Indonesia on Thursday after completing their competition at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Five other athletes who have also left Tokyo this Thursday are Deni (weightlifting), Mutiara Putri and Melani Putri (rowing), Azzahra Permatahani (swimming), and Rio Waida (surfing).
Their return was released by the Indonesian Ambassador to Japan Heri Akhmadi, Chairman of the Indonesian Olympic Committee (KOI) Raja Sapta Oktohari, and Chef de Mission Rosan P Roeslani.
Rosan said that the Indonesian team was greatly helped while in Japan thanks to the assistance of the Indonesian Embassy in Tokyo.
“We are very grateful for the support and assistance provided by the Indonesian Embassy in Tokyo to the Indonesian Team since we came until now. The first group of the Indonesian Team will return to their homeland and the smooth running of all our affairs here cannot be separated from the role of the Ambassador and all the staff of the Indonesian Embassy in Tokyo", said Rosan in a KOI press release reported by Antara.

Meanwhile, specifically for the Tokyo Olympic medalists, namely Eko and Windy, Heri Akhmadi gave an award in the form of a return ticket for Garuda Indonesia Jakarta-Tokyo which is valid for a year.
“We would like to invite the medalists to return to Tokyo. For that, we provide Jakarta – Tokyo tickets provided by Garuda Indonesia and BNI. We hope to see you again”, said Heri.
The first group of the Indonesian team is planned to be greeted directly by the Minister of Youth and Sports Zainudin Amali at Soekarno - Hatta Airport, Thursday night.
