Prosecutor's Office Detains Village Head In Bengkulu Suspect For Corruption In Village Funds Of IDR 168 Million
BENGKULU - The State Attorney General of Central Bengkulu Regency, Bengkulu, has detained DE the head of Tanjung Raman Village, Taba Penanjung District. DE has become a suspect in a village fund corruption case for the 2019 fiscal year with a loss of IDR 168 million.
"After being absent for two times, the suspect finally complied with the third summons and was immediately arrested", said State Attorney General of Central Bengkulu, Lambok Jakobus Sidabutar, quoted by Antara, Thursday, July 29.
He said DE came to the State Attorney General accompanied by his legal adviser to fulfill the summons and follow the second stage handover process from the investigator to the public prosecutor.

Detention of DE will be carried out for the next 20 days and will be detained in Argamakmur Prison, North Bengkulu Regency to undergo further legal processes.
Lambok said that based on the results of the audit from the team, the alleged corruption of village funds for the 2019 budget year was related to the construction of the Farmer's Business Road (JUT) in Tanjung Heran Village which amounted to IDR 168 million.
The suspect was charged with Article 2 paragraph 1 Jo Article 18 paragraphs 1, 2, 3 of the Corruption Eradication Law in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.
"With the threat of a minimum sentence of 4 years and Article 3 at least 1 year", he said.
