COVID-19 Update As Of July 29: 43.479 New Cases, Recovered Cases Increases By 45.494

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 262.954 specimens were examined with the result that there were 43.479 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 3.331.206 and active cases are 554.484", said Ministry of Health data, Thursday, July 29.

Today's recovered cases increased by 45.494 cases, bringing the total to 2.686.170 recovered people. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 1.893 people and a total of 90.552 people.

The province with the newest cases was in West Java with 7.519 cases and a total of 597.911 cases. Followed by East Java which has 5.506 new cases with a total of 298.525 cases. Central Java has 4.535 new cases and a total of 372.489 cases. Then, DKI Jakarta has 3.845 new cases and a total of 807.872 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 11.425 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an increase of 7.845 recovered cases, Central Java with an additional 6.269 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 3.987 recovered cases.

No province has reported zero new cases as of today. In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 25.786.254.

"Positive results per number of specimens examined or this week's positivity rate of 35.60 percent", he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 274.157 people. Currently, 510 districts/cities from 34 provinces have COVID-19 cases.

To date, 46.289.942 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 19.669.222 people have received the second dose of vaccination. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208.265.720 people.
