Head Of MUI Labura, North Sumatra Killed, Offenders Are Advised Not To Steal In Oil Palm Plantations
MEDAN - Labuhanbatu Police, North Sumatra, revealed the results of a preliminary investigation into the murder case of the chairman of the MUI Labura, Aminurrasyid Aruan.
The Labuhanbatu Police Chief, AKBP Deni Kurniawan said, from the results of the preliminary investigation, the murder of the MUI chairman was planned by the perpetrator with the initials A.
"Obviously all the evidence that we have, confirms that the (murder) incident was planned by the perpetrators," said AKBP Deni, Wednesday, July 28.
Meanwhile, according to the police, the motive for the murder was because the perpetrator was hurt after being advised by the victim not to steal from his palm oil plantation.
"Because one day before the incident, the victim was advised not to steal from the victim's field," said AKBP Deni.
Deni also explained that the perpetrator and the victim were not neighbors. However, the house of the murderer is close to a palm oil field belonging to Aminurrasyid Aruan.
"They live in different sub-districts. But there is still one road. Coincidentally, the victim's field is close to the suspect's house," said AKBO Deni.
The perpetrator was also not an employee of the victim who worked on his oil palm plantation. Instead, they were freelancers and the perpetrator had worked with the victim some time ago.
"The perpetrators are freelancers, but once the victim asked the perpetrator to harvest the victim's palm oil," continued AKBP Deni.
Mentioned about the mental health of the perpetrators, Deni confirmed that the perpetrators of the murder of the MUI chairman of Labura North Sumatra did not have a mental disorder. During the examination, the perpetrator behaved like any other normal person.
"He (the perpetrator) does not have a mental disorder because to this day there has been no direction to it," said Deni.
From the scene of the incident and the suspect's house, the police secured evidence in the form of a kelewang and a machete. Then, the motorcycle and the victim's clothes as well as a grinding stone.
"Our perpetrators are subject to Article 340 of the Subsidiary Criminal Code 338, the threat is the death penalty," said AKBP Deni.
