Ministry Of Home Affairs: Manage Administration Services No Need For Vaccination Certificates
JAKARTA - The Director General of Population and Civil Registration of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Dirjen Dukcapil Kemendagri) Zudan Arif Fakrulloh emphasized that the administration of population administration services (adminduk) does not need a COVID-19 vaccination certificate.
Zudan Arif Fakrulloh said the administration of administrative services complied with the applicable laws and regulations and there were no new requirements added.
According to Zudan, as well as during the COVID-19 pandemic, there are no additional requirements such as vaccinations. The addition of requirements can actually make it difficult for the community to process population documents.
"The analogy is like the egg and the chicken which came first, because to get the COVID-19 vaccination, the population must also have a NIK," said Zudan, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, July 28.
Moreover, he said, the government is currently boosting the percentage of vaccination by 80 percent in order to create herd immunity.
"So, we actually want to participate in the government's efforts to accelerate the vaccination program by providing quick and easy administration services," he said.
Moreover, according to Zudan, public interest is high to get the vaccine, so that in various regions the number of vaccinators needs to be increased to balance the number of applicants for the vaccine.
However, he continued, it is possible that in the future vaccination certificates can become a requirement in managing administrative services.
"This rule can be applied. However, later when the percentage of vaccination has reached 80 percent, it is our effort to catch up with the rest of the population who do not want to be vaccinated. Whatever it is, we will see the progress," said Zudan.
