Kapolda Fadil Imran Reminds Officers Don't 'Play' In Providing Oxygen Cylinders, Take Firm Action!

JAKARTA - Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Fadil Imran confirmed that he would take action against all parties, including officers who tried to 'play' in providing oxygen cylinders during the COVID-19 pandemic. This is because oxygen cylinders are urgently needed for the treatment of COVID-19 patients.

"Strictly indiscriminately, especially if there are individuals who deliberately abuse their authority in the import process, we will definitely enforce the distribution process," said Fadil at Monas, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, July 27.

In monitoring the availability of medical devices and medicines, said Fadil, his party has created a task force (task). They will monitor from availability to selling price in all jurisdictions of Polda Metro Jaya.

"The task force at Polda Metro Jaya also continues to work to oversee the availability of drugs, drug distribution and drug sales at pharmacies. So that everything can run smoothly," he asserted.

The formation of the task force has also been proven by the disclosure of several cases. For example, the hoarding of oxygen cylinders in Tangerang and cases of hoarding drugs in West Jakarta.

"Tangerang Police also revealed the same thing yesterday, the West Jakarta Police also took action 2 weeks ago for drug hoarders, this is what our team will continue to work on," he said.

Furthermore, Fadil did not forget to ask the entire community to participate in supervising the circulation of medical devices and medicines. The trick, if you find indications of hoarding or selling above HET, you can immediately report it to the police.

"There is a hotline that we spread on the social media of the Polda Metro Jaya, when there are people who want to report related to cartels, mafias, organize any crime related to crimes during the pandemic, we will immediately follow up," said Fadil.
