BANYUWANGI - A member of the Banyuwangi Regional House of Representatives, East Java, with the initials SA held his son's wedding celebration, on Saturday, July 24.

Head of Kalibaru Police, AKP Abdul Jabar, regretted the celebration of the wedding party.

Even though three days before the event, he was reminded to postpone the wedding party. But without permission, SA still held the celebration.

"Members of the Regional House of Representatives of PPP faction, three days earlier I, the head of the task force (District), and Military District Commander came to warn them and could not because PPKM was Emergency. It turned out that it was still being carried out", said Jabar.

Initially, SA agreed to only hold their son's marriage contract on Friday, July 23. However, on Saturday, July 24, a wedding reception was held.

The video of the reception was then received by the police on Saturday, July 24 evening. When we arrived, the reception was deserted and the guests had gone home.

"The marriage contract was just the beginning. It turned out that there were guests, but when the members came it was quiet", he said.

West Java said that currently, celebrations are still prohibited with the implementation of PPKM L.vel 3-4 in Banyuwangi.

West Java said this case is currently being investigated by the Banyuwangi Police Criminal Investigation Division.

The investigation related to alleged violations of health protocols during PPKM Level 3-4.

"The investigation is related to the violation of the Health protocol and the Minister's Circular Letter. SA is also being investigated by the Resort Police", he said.
