He said the handling of inmates who were confirmed to be COVID-19 was to separate rooms and blocks of prisoners between positive and negative inmates.

"We put them in rooms with no more than seven people so that room conditions remain tenuous and air circulation is maintained properly," he said.

In addition, he continued, inmates with confirmed COVID-19 were given additional food and immune supplements during the recovery period and routine control was carried out by health workers, especially inmates who had symptoms. sunbathing for approximately one hour in the open field to maintain physical fitness, followed by activities in their respective residential blocks.

"Furthermore, we are coordinating with the COVID-19 Task Force to handle the follow-up to the extraordinary appreciation of the conditions so far that are well established, currently the prison conditions are still very under control," he said.

He explained that the WBP who was confirmed to have COVID-19 was suspected to have been exposed to a member of the Tanjung Pandan Prison security team who had previously also tested positive for COVID-19.
