Calls ICW's Accusations Inconsequential And Misleading, Moeldoko Considers Legal Steps
JAKARTA - Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko is considering taking legal action against Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW).
This consideration arose after ICW accused his youngest child, Joanina Novinda Rachma, of having close relations with PT Harsen, which is the manufacturer of the drug Ivermectin.
"For these reasons, (I, ed) is considering legal steps against ICW", said Moeldoko in his written statement to reporters, Thursday, July 22.
He called ICW's accusation that Joanina had a business relationship with PT Harsen, Sofia Koswara, was a false and misleading accusation. Likewise, accusations that Sofia cooperated in rice imports with the Indonesian Farmers' Association (HKTI) of which Moeldoko was chairman.
"That's an inconsequential and misleading accusation", said Moeldoko.
"There is no business and cooperation between my son, Jo, and PT Harsen Lab", he added.

The former TNI commander also said that the alleged collaboration between Sofia and HKTI had tarnished his honor as chairman. "HKTI is actually fighting for the independence of farmers so that they can export rice", said Moeldoko.
He also denied ICW's information stating that Joanina, her son, was a KSP Expert. According to Moeldoko, his daughter only had an internship in 2020 to study.
"I told him to learn from the experts at KSP for the first three months of 2020", he concluded.
